Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived in a musical family on 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the daughter and cousin of the singer Dionne. In her early years she was a singer in the New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. When she turned 15, Houston had sung professionally with backing vocals alongside her mother on Chaka Khan's 1978 song Im Every Woman. Her mother, Jermaine, and Lou Rawls were among the artists she backed up. She was also briefly as a model for Seventeen Magazine in 1981. The high quality of her performance as the lead vocalist in New York funk group Material attracted the attention of several big record companies, like Arista who she was signed in 1982, and continued to work for the remainder of her career. The debut Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It became one of the best-selling album by a musician. The album had several smash singles, including Saving All My Love for You How Do You Know You Give Good Love And The More Love of All. This led to her achieving seven US Number Ones in a row. The singer beat the Beatles. The album was sold to three million people in its first year, and over 25 million worldwide. Her first six Grammy Awards. Whitney was her first album. Whitney, released in 1987, and featuring the popular songs What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. But it came with The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as the top selling album in music. The movie and her role as a character was not popular, however the soundtrack and her rendition of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You charted for several months in the charts, and she sold over 44 million albums and singles all over the world. It was also in 1993 when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician who gave her only child Bobbi Kristina Brown. Around this time her use of drugs was documented, and she started using it daily by 1996.

Dana Bash, also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American anchorwoman and journalist who works as a political correspondent for CNN. She has also produced certain of the network's Sunday programs such the Evans & Novak' Late Edition as well as Inside Politics.' She was also a reporter for other famous channels, such as NBC and CBS. Bash is a recipient of many honors and awards. Elle magazine once listed her on its Women in Washington Power List. Her incredible anchoring and reporting capabilities are well-respected by numerous journalists. On a personal level, the graduate of George Washington University is a loving mother to her sole son.
