Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends soul gospel jazz and R&B in a distinct mix. She has performed on Broadway in the Democratic National Convention and in concerts and festivals across Europe. Sunshine's birth name is Denise White. While she resides in Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing piano in the church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she began her music career on Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was called Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan; it has since been remixed by numerous producers and is a staple of her live set. Her voice was also added on the soundtrack to The Fighting Temptations. Her role was as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. In 2007, Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was caught the attention of all of the country during 4 performances per day during 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being invited to sing for the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
